Passes are non-refundable unless the season pass warranty has been purchased. Refunds where applicable will be made by the same method used to purchase the pass or as determined by Ruapehu Alpine Lifts Ltd (RAL) from time to time and the pass will be cancelled.
Season Passes are not transferable and can only be used by the person to whom it is issued as recorded by RAL on the pass. The person to whom the pass has been issued is responsible for the safekeeping of the pass.
Unauthorised use of the pass by someone other than the pass holder, as named on the pass, may result in revocation of the pass for the remainder of the season, prosecution, and/or legal action.
Passes must be worn at all times while skiing or boarding at Whakapapa and Turoa ski areas.
Passes can only be used during the operational seasons of RAL ski areas. The operational seasons are determined by RAL at its absolute discretion and are subject to snow and weather conditions and RAL having a license to operate the ski areas.
Misconduct on a RAL ski area may result in revocation of the Pass without refund. Misconduct is determined by RAL and includes behaviour in breach of the Snow Responsibility Code.
If a person to whom a pass has been issued provides any false information in connection with the purchase of any pass or product offered by Mt Ruapehu (including providing an incorrect age for any infant, child, youth or super super), then RAL may at any time without notice revoke any or all passes acquired by, or on behalf of, the person who provided that false information or the person to whom that false information relates.
RAL reserves the right to ask for proof of age.
A $5 fee is applicable to all new cards. Lost, stolen or damaged passes must be reported to RAL immediately. Replacement of a lost, stolen or damaged pass will incur the $5 new card fee plus a $5 admin fee (total $10).
Photo identification will be required when picking up your pass, being issued a replacement pass, or updating your photograph.
Use of Passes is otherwise on the same conditions as all other usage of the ski areas as determined by RAL from time to time at its sole discretion.
The issue of a Season Pass by RAL to the person who has, or for whom the pass has been applied for, is delivery of the goods and services contracted for by any person who pays for that pass, irrespective of method of payment.
RAL is not responsible for any routine maintenance, adverse weather conditions, acts of God or other unforeseen circumstances, which may result in closure of any lift, the mountain and/or Whakapapa or Turoa Ski Areas.
By purchasing a Mt Ruapehu season pass you agree to receive occasional informational emails and offers related to RAL products, services and related partners. Your personal information will not be sold and will be used only to share opportunities, events and information which we feel is of interest to you.
RAL is not liable for any loss, damage or injury including direct, indirect or consequential loss suffered by any person arising out of or in connection with the use of the Season Pass, except as required by law.
RAL reserves the right to vary and amend any of the Terms & Conditions relating to the passes or products offered by Mt Ruapehu at its sole discretion.
2014 SEASON PASS WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS
The Season Pass Warranty is subject to the terms and conditions below which are to be read in conjunction with all other notices and signs except to the extent there is a conflict in which case these Terms and Conditions prevail.
Any person who buys a Season Pass from RAL for the 2014 ski season may also purchase a season pass warranty. The warranty must be obtained at the same time as the Season Pass purchase.
Any Season Pass Warranty purchased only applies to the Season Pass purchased for the 2014 ski season.
The Season Pass Warranty is personal to the person to whom the relevant Season Pass was issued and does not apply or extend to any other Season Pass holder. A Season Pass Warranty is NOT transferable and cannot be sold or exchanged.
The Season Pass Warranty provides for a refund in the following circumstances only:
- personal injury to the pass holder
- severe illness of the pass holder
- pregnancy of the pass holder
- transfer overseas or South Island New Zealand for work purposes by a Season Pass holder’s employer provided these circumstances preclude the pass holder from being able to use the pass for a substantial portion of the Season, as determined by RAL
The full or partial refund will be considered and determined by RAL at is absolute discretion for the person who meets the above criteria only.
All requests for refund under the terms of this warranty must be submitted to RAL in writing by 1st October 2014 (time being of the essence i.e. no claims accepted after that date).
Any refund value where applicable, will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, less the cost of a 2014 All Mountain Day pass for each day the season pass had already been used. Refunds will be made to the same party by the same method as used to purchase the pass, or by any other method as determined by RAL at its absolute discretion and the pass will be cancelled.
Once purchased, the Season Pass Warranty is non-refundable and may not be cancelled except by RAL at its absolute discretion. Should a Season Pass be cancelled for any reason by RAL, the associated warranty shall also be cancelled.
The maximum refund amount under the warranty shall not exceed the purchase amount of the Season Pass.
2014 “10 & UNDER $49 SEASON PASS” TERMS & CONDITIONS
A “10 and Under $49 2014 Season Pass” is only $49 with an accompanying 2014 Adult season pass purchased or current Adult Life pass. Immediate family members only.
This offer is limited to 2 children per Adult season and/or Life pass. These children must be immediate family.
Age is as at the time of purchase.
This offer is only available for the April Season Pass Campaign. It is not available for other lift pass products for the 2014 winter.
It does not apply to any other Mt Ruapehu product i.e. rentals, lesson packages, programs etc.
The Rocket Pass discount is only valid for the 2014 season i.e. you are not able to take the “10 & Under Free 2014 Season Pass” and defer the Rocket Pass discount to the following year.
RAL reserves the right to ask for proof of age or family association for the offer outlined above in order to confirm a customer’s age or family eligibility. If any false information has been provided to RAL, then RAL may revoke any or all passes acquired by, or on behalf of, the person who provided that false information or the person to whom that false information relates.
ID that provides proof of age is required and must be provided with this application.
