The Human Resources department at Ruapehu Alpine Lifts are happy to help with accommodation leads wherever possible. Details on how to access our up-to-date list of accommodation on offer around Ohakune, Rangataua, National Park, Raurimu or Whakapapa Village will be provided to successful applicants, alternatively please email us at employment@mtruapehu.com for further information. Accommodation can be a little tight at the start of the season but please don't be put off - everyone always finds a room in the end!
Ruapehu Alpine Lifts has a range of staff accommodation in Ohakune and Whakapapa Village. Application forms for Staff Quarters at Whakapapa Village and Turoa staff accommodation will be available from the end of March.
A privately run option for Whakapapa staff is The Park accommodation in National Park.
This is a relatively new backpacker operation where all bedrooms have ensuites. Although food is not included, there are on-site cooking facilities and also a café and bar for when you just can't be bothered with the dishes. Their booking form will also be uploaded in late March or go to www.the-park.co.nz to find out more.
Please be aware that the Human Resources Department at Ruapehu Alpine Lifts is not involved in organising accommodation for you but we will help with names and numbers wherever possible.
Welcome!!! In addition to accommodation offered by private landlords, there are 110 beds that RAL have leased and made available to Turoa Staff in Ohakune. These beds are spread over 4 accommodation venues in Ohakune and range from cabin rooms to luxurious 3 bedroom apartments with own kitchen, laundry etc. If you are looking for staff accommodation for the season please get in touch with HR Turoa at employment@mtruapehu.com. Please note that Turoa applicants will find out more at interview time.
All Turoa accommodation requires 1 fortnight's rent in advance, 1 fortnight's energy fee in advance and a bond (all payable when you move in). The bond will be refunded at the end of the season when your key is returned and your room left tidy. It is important that you arrive in town with enough money to cover these costs before you get paid - this could be approximately $450-$550 upfront so make sure you plan for this : )
