Learn to ski or ride like a pro and get qualified as one while you're at it! Our Weekend Instructor Prep Courses will get you ready for the Level 1 and / or Level 2 NZSIA instructor exams.

Course details
The Turoa Weekend Prep Courses are specifically designed to provide individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to teach skiing or snowboarding to an intermediate level. These courses are aimed at individuals wanting to train toward instructor certification in a professional, informative and fun environment. The course will ideally suit people who are currently employed Mon-Fri, 9-5 or who are tertiary students. You’ll also need to commit a week in late August and a week in October for the level 1 and 2 exams. See www.nzsia.org for exam dates.
During the prep course participants will be instructed by our expert trainers using NZSIA technique and progressions, video analysis, rider improvement and shadow teaching opportunities. Participants enjoy queue privileges to maximise the training opportunities on busy weekend days. The Weekend Prep Courses fully utilises our vast and challenging terrain on the two largest ski areas in NZ.

12 Weekend Level One and Level Two course:

Starts: 16 July, 2011
Inclusions:
- 12 weekends of training
- NZSIA Level 1 registration (Ski $555, Snowboard $675)
- NZSIA Level 2 registration (Ski, $960. Snowboard, $600)
- NZSIA manual ($55)
Exam registration and manuals are included so that way we can assure you get registered for the courses and you'll have a manual the first weekend. If you’d like to take care of this yourself we’ll happily adjust the price accordingly for you.
6 Weekend Level One course:
Price Ski $1,380. Snowboard $1500
Starts: 16 July, 2011

- 6 weekends of training
- NZSIA Level 1 registration (Ski $555, Snowboard $675)
- NZSIA manual ($55)

6 Weekend Level Two course:
Price Ski $1,860. Snowboard $1,370
Starts: 27 August, 2011
Prerequisite: You must have NZSIA or SBINZ level 1 or international equivalent.
Inclusions:
- 6 weekends of training
- NZSIA Level 2 registration (Ski $960, Snowboard $600)
