Weekend Instructor Training Courses
Learn to ski or ride like a pro and get qualified as one while you're at it! Our Weekend Instructor Training Courses will get you ready for the Level 1 and / or Level 2 NZSIA instructor exams.
We'll be taking registrations for the 2013 courses from the start of May.

Course details
The Mt Ruapehu Weekend Prep Courses are specifically designed to provide individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to teach skiing or snowboarding to an intermediate level. These courses are aimed at individuals wanting to train toward instructor certification in a professional, informative and fun environment. The course will ideally suit people who are currently employed Mon-Fri, 9-5 or who are tertiary students. You’ll also need to commit a week in late August and a week in October for the level 1 and 2 exams. See www.nzsia.org for exam dates. The courses are run at both Turoa and Whakapapa Ski Areas.
During the prep course participants will be instructed by our expert trainers using NZSIA technique and progressions, video analysis, rider improvement and shadow teaching opportunities. Participants enjoy queue privileges to maximise the training opportunities on busy weekend days. The Weekend Prep Courses fully utilises our vast and challenging terrain on the two largest ski areas in NZ.

The prerequisite: You must have NZSIA or SBINZ level 1 or international equivalent.
