With the onset of spring many of the steep lines in the Ruapehu backcountry have now come into condition and are offering world class skiing and riding! Here a snowboarder on a full day tour from Turoa drops into the north face of Ringatoto Peak. 450 vertical metres of 40+ degree corn snow lie below.
