Turoa Proposed opening date - Saturday 16th June

After a review of our current snowcover at Turoa we do not expect to open any upper mountain trails for skiing or boarding this weekend, however there is a possibility of the Alpine Meadow opening for beginner skiing and snowboarding and fun in the snow. We are currently snow making as we speak.
The Met service makes analogy with 2008 and 2009 which produced the best snow cover for over 25 years in 2008 and average snow cover in 2009. Keep those snow dancing shoes on and remember we has less snow this time last year and we had one of the best winter snow covers. Who can forget "Big Tuesday"?
