Outside of work she loves exploring Mt Ruapehu on her skis, mountain biking in Taupo, dancing to 90's Dance music and watching the telly. Ange is the Practice Manager of the Mt Ruapehu Accident & Medical Centres (Whakapapa & Turoa). AKA “Da boss”. Ange has a background of ICU and Emergency nursing. After working hard through the winter Ange spends her summers working in an ED and skiing overseas and occasionally ending up in a cast herself!! Ange first came to Ruapehu in the late nineties as a nurse and left in 2004 for five years while she owned and ran her own café, returning to Mt Ruapehu in 2008. Having recently bought a new house in Taupo, we hope to be counting on her for years to come. Always there for her staff as a manager and friend, Ange is passionate about her job and RAL. Constantly full of energy and open to new ideas she is continually working to improve patient care on the mountain. Her love for skiing and working with such an awesome team makes her want to come back yearly!! |

Caroline is one of the nurses working with us for the winter of 2011. Caroline has a lot of mountain knowledge having worked in a variety of roles around Mt Ruapehu. Caroline first came to Mt Ruapehu as a waitress at the Grand Chateau. After a life changing experience in Happy Valley, Caroline then graduated to working for RAL for 3 seasons in variety of positions including a liftie, snowboard instructor, ticket seller, and cashier before heading back to University to study Nursing. To date Caroline has worked in Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery and Emergency nursing and has recently attended a triage course in Wellington. When she’s not plastering patients or dishing out pain relief in the waiting room she can be found snowboarding out west or getting overly competitive at quiz night at Schnapps. |
| Anna is a registered nurse from Melbourne. This is her second season with RAL and without her, we would honestly be lost. Apart from her great sense of humour and immaculate nursing skills, Anna has revolutionized our charging system so patients get a fairer deal. When Anna is not caring for sick and needy snowsports enthusiasts and keeping the doctors in check, Anna can be found ripping up the packed powder on "spirit" her amazing snowboard. Out of season Anna has spends time in her hometown of Melbourne in a normal Emergency Deparment. Although hospital jobs pay the bill Annas real passions lie in pre-hospital and remote nursing. She has spent a summer on Dunk Island surrounded by snakes and zooming around on a quad bike. Always adventurous and up for a mish, Anna has done 4 seasons boarding in NZ and Canada. She'll often say her cakes and cooking tastes "OK"...don't believe her, roll on Masterchef. |

Jodie is our nurse supervisor at Turoa. She is just tip top. Always organized and on the ball we are hoping to hold on to her for next season. This is her first season with RAL. Before arriving on the slopes Jodie worked in Saudi Arabia for 18 months and previous to that doing ED in the Gold Coast Australia. Originally from the UK, she studied at Chester University for 3 years and gained 4 years emergency nurse experience before deciding to fly the nest. An extremely experienced ED nurse, Jodie has qualifications in ACLS, PLS, and plastering. Jodie has an interest in trauma so working on the mountain is the perfect place to be. Always interested in new presentations and logistical patient problems Jodie keeps us in check with her clinic Kung-foo. Out of work she is an avid traveller and has loads of interesting tales from foreign climes. Jodie loves meeting new people, shopping (every girls dream), socializing with friends, and practicing her snowboarding skills. Always fun to be around and professional, Jodie is loving her first NZ experience. |

Robyn is one of our great radiographers. She has been working in New Zealand and the UK for the past 5 years. She studied radiography at CPIT in Christchurch and qualified with flying colours. This is her first year working at the mountain and has already promised that she will be back next season. Currently competing in the RAL mountain muffin extravaganza (Fiercely opposed by Tash Burley), Robyn loves the chance to work outside her comfort zone, learning how to plaster broken limbs, and getting involved in the management of the acute injured patient. Robyn's a great problem solver and always there to help out whenever she's needed. She's a wicked worker and always one step ahead. Robyn is enjoying snowboarding and has massively improved her carving this season, even landing the occasional accidental jump. Her biggest claim to fame so far is nailing “nose dive”……..and hopes to ace the pinnacles by the end of October. Robyn came to RAL as a KFC addict, unable to cook toast, She has now mastered the art of both cooking and snowboarding. We think she's pretty awesome. |

Stacey is the radiographer in Turoa. Stacey is special to us for a number of reasons. Not only is she an accomplished radiographer, Stacey is an amazing cook. On shift big smiles await to see what she has brought her colleagues. Clinic delights range from chocolate yoghurt cake, to self saucing toffee pudding, and various cakes all cooked in a pizza oven!! Before coming to the mountain and lighting up our lives Stacey worked for Wellington Regional Hospital for a number of years. Stacey came to the mountain wanting to spread her wings and travel. She has since fallen in love with the place and is currently into her second year with the team. Stacey is a valuable team member and is always willing to try anything. She enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking, and any outdoor activities. Always smiling and great fun to work with we really hope she comes back for another season. If you’re really lucky you may be able to get a treat when visiting our clinic, if we haven’t eaten them already. |
| Nadia has been working on the mountain for half her adult life. She intially started as a fresh faced radiographer and helped set up the fabulous radiological facilities in 2001 at Turoa. She is now a full time ski patroller at Whakapapa but still shoots a couple of pretty pictures once in a while. She loves to ski the big open spaces of Mt Ruapehu and her next project is to huck the diamond mines. She loves doughnuts and singing. |
