Tips for your group's visit
- Changeable weather conditions mean that the road can be restricted to vehicles with chains or 4WD. Unfortunately, our chain hire service cannot accommodate buses so please consider your transportation options.
- Contact Customer Services in the morning to confirm you are coming, as instructed on your Mt Ruapehu Booking Confirmation
- Keep your group together in one area until you have collected all of your tickets from Customer Services
- Nominate just one or two people to collect your tickets from Customer Services
- Distribute correct tickets to each person before you send them through Rentals
- You should go through Rentals as one group, unless otherwise instructed
- Make sure a group representative escorts the group through Rentals and that you go to the Rental department specified by your Group Co-ordinator If you leave your group’s bags and shoes with the Rental department, we are only responsible for those items when they are behind the counter
- Ensure that the students having lessons are organised into their groups and are at the designated meeting place at least 10 minutes before the lesson starts, with a teacher or parent
- Have a meeting place and time arranged for students or adults who may get separated from the group
- If any of your group becomes tired or cold, get them to a shelter, give them a warm drink and put more dry clothing on them
- Make sure that no loose clothing is worn and that long hair is tied up so that it does not get hooked or caught up on the lifts
NOTE: It causes severe disruption to our Snow School operation if people do not turn up to lessons on time...or at all. Therefore, there are no refunds on shortened or missed lessons.
