Whether you're just getting into serious ski racing or looking to train full time, we've got options that will get you high level coaching & gate training with a view to becoming highly competitive at a national level. Our programmes are designed to meet athlete and parents needs.
Team Ruapehu will have access to NZ longest potential training windows thanks to Sky Waka, to ensure our Athletes are positioned to meet all their goals.
Choose a weekend, 3 days a week or fulltime programme and work with a coach to achieve your goals for the season.
Group selections are based on an assessment of basic skill, race experience and technical skiing ability.
Note: Programme fee does NOT include a lift pass or rental equipment.
Team Ruapehu is excited to offer a new programme for 2020. We are offering a one day a week programme for anyone under the age of 8. The focus will be in taking everyone with confidence around the mountain, and building strong foundations in their skiing from this early age. This is an early opportunity to come and hang out with Team Ruapehu.
Team Ruapehu is excited to offer an avenue for those that are interested in getting involved in Ski Racing. For those that have been skiing a few years, enjoy skiing the whole mountain, and are interested in taking it to the next level. Whether your focus is exclusively in ski racing, or want to become a truly excellent well-rounded skier, this programme will show you the road map to getting there. This is a great opportunity to get some race and elite skiing experience for those that are questioning whether or not they are ready to commit to a more frequent programme.
The core building block of Team Ruapehu. Learn the skills and create the foundation to become a world class skier. Elite coaches with years of experience from around the world offer an environment to learn what ski racing is really all about. Coaching, gate training, representation, and dryland training for athletes through the exciting New Zealand race season. Training and development in GS and Slalom on the incredible terrain that Mt Ruapehu offers, with an introduction to and training in speed events.

Train Fridays, Saturdays and Sunday each week with all 4 weeks of the school holidays. The extra day on snow is designed for those who are trying to take the competitive career to another level.

Train Saturdays and Sunday each week with all 4 weeks of the school holidays. Set your season up for success with 2 solid week of training (M-F) during the July School Holidays and continue to develop skills in preparation for competition throughout the season.
