Click and collect your passes at terminals at Whakapapa.

Skiing or Snowboarding

One mountain is home to two world class ski areas - Whakapapa and Tūroa, spanning over 1050 hectares of epic terrain. Choose from Day or Season Passes, depending on what you want to get out of your winter season.

Dedicated Beginner Area Day Passes are available for those just starting out, while Whakapapa or Tūroa Day Passes, give you access to all available lifts operating on your chosen ski area, conditions pending.

Sledding

Both Whakapapa and Tūroa have dedicated sledding areas, with a gentle slope, up to three lanes, and a magic carpet to transport you back to the top. Please note Tūroa's sledding is closed for the season.

Sledding sessions are 1 hour long, and give you access to a sled and the sledding area, to slide down and ride up, as many times as you'd like within your session.
There are limited spots available, so its always recommended to book.

Sightseeing

Journey 1.8km up the northern face of Mt Ruapehu to 2020m, on the Sky Waka gondola.

The journey, both winter and summer, offers panoramic views of the volcanic landscape, out to neighbouring peaks of Mt Ngāuruhoe and Mt Tongariro, and across the central North Island. Dine at the top in the Knoll Ridge Chalet, with offerings tailored to each season.
