Experience the largest maunga (mountain) in the North Island this winter. Suitable for all ages & perfect for families. Last ride from the Base Area is at 3:30pm. Closed footwear is mandatory. Warm and waterproof clothing is recommended.

Sit back and enjoy the spectacular ride on New Zealand's most technically advanced gondola, Whakapapa's Sky Waka. Take in the awe-inspiring views of the World Heritage National Park from the comfort of a 10-seater cabin.

Arrive at 2,020m above sea level to the Knoll Ridge Chalet, home to the highest café & restaurant in the country. Enjoy a coffee or wine from the upstairs deck of Knoll Ridge, settle in for a buffet meal by one of the huge floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the pinnacles, or grab a bite from the Four Peaks Alley downstairs.

Take a scenic chairlift ride up Tūroa's Parklane Chairlift. This leisurely ride takes you over striking volcanic terrain & waterfalls to the Snowflake Café, famous for its scrumptious burgers. Soak in stunning views of the upper mountain, across the Central Plateau & towards Mt Taranaki.
